The Mirror Dispatch is committed to accurate, fair and independent journalism. This page sets out the principles that govern our work.
All editorial decisions are made by our editors. Advertisers, commercial partners and external interests have no influence over what we publish or how we cover it. Sponsored content, if published, is clearly labelled and produced separately from the newsroom.
We verify claims before publication. We use primary sources where possible. When we rely on a single source, we say so. Disputed facts are represented as disputed.
We correct errors promptly and transparently. Corrections appear on the original article with a clear note. We do not silently amend articles.
Subjects of significant criticism are given a reasonable opportunity to respond before publication. Their responses are included in the article or appended after publication.
We protect confidential sources. Anonymity is granted only when genuinely necessary and when the information is in the public interest.
Journalists disclose personal or financial interests in subjects they cover. Where a conflict exists, the journalist is reassigned or the interest is disclosed to readers.
Editorial complaints: editorial@news-daily-mirror.sbs. We aim to respond within five working days.
